We have a set of three flying ducks in wood except they look like seals. We have tried to find out about them. We would never sell them but wondered if you could shed any light on them.

I have seen similar sets in the USA and they are equivalent to our flying ducks ornaments.
I really love them and because of their quirkiness and retro look, I would estimate them at £150-200.

Hi Dave,
Your amplifier is by Gibson and very collectable. It was made in the USA around 1954 – 55. Unfortunately it can’t be used in this country without a transformer as it is American voltage. It may surprise you to know I would expect it to sell between £700-800 in one of our specialist music auctions.
