Hello readers and welcome to my monthly article. Regular readers will be used to my usual review on places to go with the family. Some of them will still appear, however my main focus from now on will be all things to do with beauty aimed at tweens and teens. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and this month’s article will be about maintaining that lovely summer glow for a little longer.
The products I’m going to talk about this month are by UTAN. I’m sure everyone wanted a good tan this summer, but I didn’t have much luck as I suspect with the weather we have had, neither did anyone else unless they were lucky enough to go abroad! Of course you have to make sure you protect your skin and stay safe in the sun – always remember to wear sunscreen! But it still seems that as summer fades away, so does everyone’s tan.
However, a natural looking tan is now a possibility by using some of UTAN’s tanning products. I tried two of their products, both of them were very successful. The first one is an everyday gradual tan. It is natural looking, long lasting, streak free and has a gradual fade. I would recommend this one for people with very pale skin like me. I really like this product because you can build it up to how dark you want it. You can also make it very subtle, it went on to the skin perfectly and doesn’t smell much too.
The second product I tried was the luxury self-tan lotion in medium. I would recommend this one for special occasions or when you are in need of an instant tan. It works very well and has the same features as the other product but obviously the colour appears instantly. The lotion is coloured so you can see where you have put it and this washes off a few hours later. It has everything you could want in a self-tanning lotion with perfect results.
To help achieve the perfect results, before applying the tan I applied the Before Exfoliating Polish which works for all skin types. It creates a flawless base for a natural looking tan and it certainly did just that!
Always remember to ask a parent or guardian before applying tan and follow any instructions for better results and to keep your skin safe. I hope you all enjoyed my first beauty review and I look forward to writing about many more exciting products.
