Beechwood Veterinary Group has added a new branch in Headingley to their surgeries in Leeds. The branch at Beechwood Vets 177 Kirkstall Lane, Headingly LS6 3EJ opened in August 23 and is open Monday to Friday offering appointments and surgeries (on certain days)
The branch is run by two of the teams experienced veterinary surgeons – Catarina Silva MRCVS who has a certificate in feline medicine and Becki Coverdale MRCVS.
The team there are in the process of also applying for the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic at this site and hope to achieve silver status as at the Temple House branch.
The Headingley branch joins the Practice who now have sites covering Seacroft and the surrounding area, Chapel Allerton, Beeston and Garforth
Temple House in Seacroft has state-of-the-art facilities which will benefit thousands of pets across Leeds.

Clients bringing their pets for treatments and routine care will benefit from more rooms and the latest high-tech new equipment, including:
●
Seven consulting rooms so more pets can be seen by vets and nurses
● Separate cat and dog wards
● Three operating theatres with top surgical facilities
● A dedicated x-ray room
●
Ultrasound to diagnose heart conditions, tumours and changes in abdominal organs
●
Dental theatre with dental x-ray
The additional operating space at Temple House also enables Beechwood Vets to offer laparoscopy, or keyhole surgery, providing a minimally invasive alternative to a traditional spay surgery, as well as procedures like biopsies of the liver, kidneys and intestines.
Patient benefits include smaller wounds, faster recovery, procedure is less painful and a quicker post operative recovery. If you would like to enquire about lap speying for your female dog (as long as she will be over 15kgs in body weight after 6 months of age) please drop them an email at templehouse@beechwoodvets.com and one of the nursing team will call you back to discuss.
The practice will also have a dedicated room to provide a calm, quiet space for clients and their pets during difficult times, bringing comfort to owners whose pets are receiving end-of-life care.
Beechwood Vets Practice Manager Kelly Mann said: “It’s great that we can now offer care to the patients of Headingley as well as offer a much better service at the Seacroft practice as there is much more space for improved facilities and it is much more comfortable for clients and patients.
Having separate cat and dog facilities creates a much more relaxed and comforting space for patients, especially cats, and having on-site parking is a huge bonus for our clients.
As well as providing improved facilities for clients and patients, it is also a great place to work for our veterinary team.”

Beechwood Vets now have five surgeries across Leeds in Seacroft, Chapel Allerton, Beeston, Headngley and Garforth, providing emergency care for pets, as well as general healthcare, vaccinations, medical investigations, surgical procedures including orthopaedics, cardiology clinics, dietary advice and dental work.
