Brown & Gold have just opened their new branch in Shipley, ‘Christopher Brown Jewellers’.
They have relocated from their old premises near the Asda to a prestigious corner site in this busy market town.
[private]“Towns like Shipley have a fantastically loyal customer base and really deserve a range of quality shops. We took over the former Christopher Stoner Jewellery shop earlier this month and I am now really proud to have my name above the door” says Chris who now owns six branches across the North of England with 3 in our region – Brown & Gold at Seacroft and Batley and their new store at Shipley.
Christopher Brown Jewellers and Pawnbrokers caters for people that love fine new and preowned jewellery and stock a large range of pre-owned Rolex, Omega, Breitling and Cartier watches. They offer a full repair and design service and have a large range of branded new lines.
It’s not all just about retail though. Brown and Gold are equally trusted for their pawnbroking and gold buying service.
This is a market that has really prospered since the credit crunch and programs like ‘Posh Pawn’ have brought a different type of customer to the traditional pawnbroker. They don’t come more experienced than Chris as he is the sixth generation to run a pawnbroking firm in his family, a legacy that spans over 170 years.
“It’s not just about everyday loans for £50 – £100 anymore” says Chris who admits that this is still an important part of his business, “ We now get asked to lend against 18ct Rolex, the family diamond collection and even more contemporary brands such as Audemar Piguet watches and Tiffany sets. We recently lent a double figure sum against an Audemar’s worth over £45,000 and often make loans for £10,000 or more”.
“I feel confident that business will boom in Shipley. Stoners had a fantastic family history of being a luxury jewellers and pawnbrokers and have been in the town for over 25 years. We intend to carry on the great tradition and offer an even bigger range of pre-owned and new jewellery, all at amazing value for money.”
A new prestige jewellers and pawnbrokers may be just what Shipley was waiting for![/private]
