Living North Yorkshire Christmas Fair 2021, North Yorkshire

York Racecourse – 11th-14th November 2021

Lots of stalls to browse all in one space (inside) on York Racecourse.  Living North’s Christmas Fair brings you Yorkshire’s biggest and best shopping and social event of the season.  Hosting a treasure trove of the finest artisan food producers, designer-makers and retailers, giving you the perfect opportunity to get together with friends and family for a fabulous fun and festive day out, packed with seasonal inspiration.

St Nicholas Fair, York Christmas Market 2021, North Yorkshire

Thursday 18th November – Thursday 23rd December 2021

Nicholas Fair runs from the 18th of November 2021 to the 23rd of December 2021, with lots of food, festivities and a lovely Christmassy atmosphere to soak up.  There are always lots of lovely food and gift stalls in the middle of Parliament Street.  York Christmas Market is a fabulous way to start feeling festive!

THE YORK MINSTER CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 

18 November 2021 to 6 January 2022 10am – 7pm 

Experience the Minster’s first Christmas Tree Festival set in the cathedral’s grounds. The new festival will take place in a festive marquee by the South Piazza and feature around 40 trees decorated by local businesses, schools and charities. Visitors can vote for their favourite tree in the ‘best dressed tree’ competition and visit the activity marquee to write their own Christmas message on a tag to add to a tree. Admission is free but donations are encouraged. No prebooking required.

Selby Christmas Market and Light Switch On Event

10am – 5pm Saturday 27th November

The Christmas Market and Light Switch-On Event is a great family event. Lots of live performances to keep you entertained throughout the day from Miss Marina Mae, the Rock Choir, local school choirs and more, up on the ‘stage’ very generously supplied free of charge once again by Campey’s of Selby Ltd. The Christmas Lights will be switched on by the Mayor of Selby, Cllr Michael Dyson, at 4pm. YorkMix Radio will be in attendance with fun and games throughout the day and counting down to the Switch-On! Watch out for Santa and of course the fabulous Dancing Turkeys!!

MOOR MAGIC AT THE NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK 

 27 – 28 November Christmas Shopping Weekend, Sutton Bank National Park Centre

 27 – 28 November Virtual Santa Weekend, The Moors National Park Centre, Danby (drop-in anytime between 11am and 3pm)

 13 November – 16 January 2022 Merry Mouse and the Lost Parcels Trail (for ages 3+), The Moors National Park Centre, Danby (weekends only from 4 January)

Join a festive event at Sutton Bank National Park Centre and The Moors National Park Centre. Special for this year will be a family-friendly Lantern Lit Christmas Adventure with Merry Mouse and friends and the brand-new Merry Mouse and the Lost Parcels Trail. Those at home can also enjoy a virtual Santa’s Grotto experience, or come and visit the park centre on a special Christmas shopping weekend or visit the Christmas crafts exhibition.

Harrogate Christmas Market 2021, North Yorkshire

Friday the 3rd of December until Sunday the 12th of December 2021

There will be lots of events and attractions available for people to enjoy this Christmas in Harrogate.

Thanks to a partnership with Harrogate BID, a Ferris wheel, Victorian carousel, helter-skelter and performance area are all set to keep people entertained from Monday 15 November to the first week of January.

While a festive road train will travel around the town centre from Friday 3 December until Sunday 12 December to ensure people don’t miss out on what Harrogate town centre has to offer; whether that’s the Harrogate Christmas Fayre, the artisan market in the Valley Garden or the fantastic high street businesses.

Malton Christmas Market

Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th December 2021

Malton’s Christmas Market is back! Hosted in Malton’s picturesque Market Place, the event runs across two days on the first weekend of December and is completely free to enter. 

Boasting a myriad of festive treats and presents, the Malton Christmas Market will host food stalls, gift ideas, street food, live music and family entertainment.

A shopping experience like no other, the weekend promises to tick a few presents off your list while you soak in the atmosphere of Yorkshire’s Food Capital. Enjoy mulled wine, gin and beers as you browse and take in live music from local brass bands and choirs, while sampling some of the finest produce from Yorkshire and beyond. 

Yuletide Festival Skipton Christmas Market, North Yorkshire

Sunday 5th and Sunday 12th December 2021

Skipton Christmas Market 2021 will take place on Sunday 5th and Sunday 12th December (restrictions permitting). Open both dates from 10am until 4.30pm!

Buy all your gifts from Skipton’s famous market and range of independent and high street brand shops.  The UK’s Best Large Speciality Market Award Winning Christmas Market runs the full length of the High Street alongside many local charity and gift stalls selling everything you could want for your friends and family.  A full range of entertainment ensuring a Christmas atmosphere will take place in the arena on the High Street and at locations around the town, making The Skipton Christmas Market an ideal opportunity to sample a great Christmas atmosphere and to find a Christmas bargain at the same time.  At 4pm the day closes with a procession up the High Street to the Holy Trinity Church grounds, where a traditional Christmas carol service takes place to round off a wonderful day.

Beverley Festival of Christmas/Beverley Christmas Market, East Yorkshire

10am – 4pm Sunday 12th December 2021

What better way to kickstart those festival feels than sipping a warming mulled wine, tucking into some comforting street food and waving at Santa and his reindeer as they parade from Wednesday Market to Saturday Market?
