Epic Festival Line-ups Announced

Leeds Festivals has announced that 40+ new artists have been added to its epic 2022 line-up, including Ashnikko, Cassyette, Barns Courtney, Luude, and HO99O9 amongst many more.  The acts join the previously announced headliners playing the dual Main Stages; Dave, Arctic Monkeys, Rage Against The Machine, Megan Thee Stallion, Bring Me The Horizon and Halsey. Additionally, the 2022 BBC Introducing stage line-up has also been revealed, featuring the most exciting upcoming talent in rock, indie, alternative, hip-hop and dance. Offering a tour-de-force of cutting-edge and enthralling names in every genre, the three-day festival takes place on 26-28 August 2022, at Leeds’ legendary Bramham Park.

Promising to bring some heaviness to the bank holiday weekend are alt-rock trio Beauty School Dropout, who weave anthemic choruses and hip-hop sensibilities, alongside edgy, pop-rock personality PHEM and Brooklyn emo-punk Caspr. Also announced are the colossal Dublin six-piece Thumper, rock’n’roll revivalists The Skinner Brothers and garage-rock artist Taipei Houston. Fast-rising nu gen breakout star Cassyette, US rap-punk duo H09909, bluesy musician Barns Courtney, Gen Z punk-pop fire starter Daisy Brain, and Liverpudlians noise merchants Stone will also be playing, showcasing their fervent brand of fresh rock. From across the globe and holding the flag for their native Texas will be rap-rocker De’Wayne and bedroom DIY pop innovator Dayglow.

BBC Introducing have also announced their stage line-up for 2022, showcasing an assortment of exciting new talent that they have supported over the last year. Kicking off with the announcement of left-field indie-psych outfit Honeyglaze, they are joined by CISI and the opinionated post-punkers DEADLETTER. Caity Baser will follow with her empowering retro soul, and Dolores Forever promises to floor audiences with their catchy pop-rock. Later, jangly indie heroes, Priestgate will whip up a storm before tongue-in-cheek indie purveyors BILK turn the storm into a tempest. Finally, alt-pop hitmaker and Berkshire local Dan D’Lion will headline the acclaimed stage, ensuring BBC Introducing set a perfect tone for the festival to come. 

Live At Leeds year is set to continue with the beloved return of Live At Leeds: In The City on Saturday 15th October across Leeds City Centre. A leading home of all things new music discovery, where fans come to discover their next favourite artists before anyone else – this year’s festival is set to be an essential date in the diary for those looking to the sounds of 2023 and beyond!

Announcing over 50 names in its first wave of names, Live At Leeds: In The City returns with a bang. Leading this year’s festival line-up is a band who over the course of the past five years have grown into a driving force of modern guitar-pop in Pale Waves. Lead by the already iconic Heather Baron-Gracie, Pale Waves have become a live phenomenon that continue to grow and grow into an band defining the here and now with slick hooks, soaring indie-rock and passionate messages of acceptance and equality. Anthems like ‘Television Romance’, ‘Change’, ‘There’s A Honey’, ‘She’s My Religion’ and latest cut ‘Lies’

“We’re super excited to be headlining this year’s Live At Leeds: In The City! It’s always been a great city for us and a fun one to play, we can’t wait to be back to play. 

■ Baby Queen

Turning pop music on its head, Baby Queen is sure to be a highlight of Live At Leeds: In The City 2022 – proving why so many are signing up to the Baby Kingdom in their thousands with every performance and release, with latest cut ‘Colours Of You’ sound tracking TV shows and countless fans’ 2022 in the process.  Also watch out for Beren Olivia, who released her latest single ‘Tomorrow’ last month, she commented: “I’m so excited to be joining the incredible line-up for Live At Leeds: In The City. I absolutely love Leeds – it’s a city where lots of my fans are based, and is somewhere I’ve never played before, so I can’t wait to head up North this October”. 

And there’s also exciting news about the country’s favourite radio station bringing a festival to Temple Newsam in September but you’ll have to wait until next month for that!
