Fish & Chips In A Blooming Lovely Garden!

Local News

Simon and Gail proprietors of Park Fisheries in Beeston are keeping their fingers crossed as they wait for the results of their garden entry into The  Small Business Category of  Leeds in Bloom and Yorkshire in Bloom. The winners will be revealed in September.

Gail has been tending to the flowers in the garden for the past 5 years and has entered it into Leeds in Bloom for the past 3 years. Gail and Simon are absolutely delighted to have received a Gold each year. On entering the garden into Yorkshire in Bloom for the last 2 years they were both extra delighted when they were awarded a Silver Guilt the first year and a Gold last year.

The garden which runs alongside the Fish & Chip shop is not a massive space but it provides customers with a lovely colourful haven to sit and enjoy their Fish & Chips.

Simon who is very proud of Gail’s achievements commented,” Customers and residents of Beeston all like what we do with the garden,it’s admired by many and it’s a great talking point as the colourful garden bursts into bloom. We are so proud of what we have achieved out of a small space. Each year Gail tries to improve on the last and is always thinking ahead. We want people to remember us and Beeston for the great community it is. Beeston always seems to get bad press and all we want is to change people’s views and provide them with quality fish & Chips in a beautiful garden”.
