Happy Living at Beech Hall

Business Reviews

Anchor’s Beech Hall is a purpose-built home, designed to provide the highest standards of residential and residential dementia care, set in the heart of the community and close to local amenities and transport. Beech Hall was rated Good in all five inspected areas in their latest CQC inspection, which was published in August 2018.

Our residents have the benefit of a Tovertafel table. This is a high quality projector, which encourages social interaction and physical and cognitive activity through interactive games. This is in addition to our cinema room, coffee shop area and hair salon.

We encourage local people to join us for our weekly activities. Each Tuesday, our DBS-checked hairdresser visits and we also hold a ‘Tea and Tech’ session.  Creative Minds visit every Friday to provide art sessions. We also enjoy home-made Fish and Chips each Friday tea time, and offer this to a limited number of local older people.

We take great pride in the range of high quality, seasonally focused and nutritionally balanced meals our chef makes available to residents on a daily basis. We are committed to making mealtimes a sociable and pleasurable part of the day. Anchor is proud to have won national recognition for its food and catering service and strives to continually enhance the dining experience for residents across all of our care homes.

Our staff are passionate about what they do, dedicated to delivering personally-tailored care and specially selected for their personal qualities, such as being instinctively warm with a natural desire to help. We know it’s the small things that can make a big difference to the people in our care, like taking time to have a friendly chat, reminisce or share a joke.

As well as a range of in-house courses to ensure all residents receive the best possible care, all our specially chosen staff are given intensive training and are required to complete QCF (Quality Care Framework) qualifications.

Anchor was recently named ‘Residential Care Provider of the Year’ at the prestigious Health Investor Awards and is celebrating its 50thAnniversary. It is England’s largest not-for-profit provider of care and housing for older people which enables reinvestment in its properties and homes.
