The Yorkshire Reporter Team recently had a fantastic evening out at the newly refurbished Hollywood Bowl and were “bowled over”. With 32 computerised lanes featuring an advanced scoring system which will allow players to share their scores and post them on Facebook along with linked screens to let other players in the centre know when you strike, the atmosphere was buzzing.
Any of the Centre’s lanes can be pre-booked including the four new VIP lanes over looked by Hollywood legends in a private area that give visitors that A list treatment. With booths in the restaurant or bar area, Hollywood Bowl is an excellent outing for the family and a great place to celebrate children’s birthdays and fun work team outings. It’s also a brilliant place for festive fun, with Christmas packages available that are filled with food, drink, prizes, photos, and of course bowling.
The new look ‘Hollywood Diner’ – a superb in-house restaurant – serves freshly-made American classics, including burgers handmade to Hollywood Bowl’s own special recipe. Plus food and drinks can be delivered directly to guests’ lanes while they play too, so the fun doesn’t have to stop for refuelling.
The glitzy new bar houses a pool table area, and serves a variety of drinks from wine, beer and soft drinks to coffee and cocktails – perfect for relaxing after a particularly competitive game, or for a few drinks with friends.
The Centre’s brilliant amusement area, complete with air hockey and the latest arcade games provide all the extra entertainment needed, and there is also the added opportunity to ‘Play for Prizes’, where guests can collect tokens won on their favourite arcade games and exchange them for great goodies, from sweets to remote controlled toys.
