Inseparable Mum And Son Seek New Home For A Second Time

FeaturesWagging Tales

A devoted mum and son duo at Dogs Trust Leeds have found themselves in need of a new home for a second time through no fault of their own, and are hoping to find a new home on the double.

Mum Mildred and her son, George, now three, originally arrived at Dogs Trust Leeds in October 2015 and headed off to what the team hoped would be their forever home. However, sadly due to an unavoidable change in their family’s circumstances they have found themselves homeless once again. The adorable pair have been making lots of friends at the York Road centre since arriving last month, but staff hope it won’t be too long before they are saying a fond farewell to the devoted doggie duo.

Amanda Sands, Manager at Dogs Trust Leeds, says:

“George and Mildred are a lovely and loving pair. They adore being together and George in particular likes his mum to be by his side as much as possible. They are both very playful and love to have their giddy moments together as well as with their two-legged friends.

“It can be more difficult to find a home for two dogs rather than one but we really hope there is someone out there ready and waiting to welcome these canine companions into their home.”

Lurchers Mildred, who is six, and George are looking for a forever home with a secure garden where they can run around and play to their heart’s content. They need to be the only dogs in the home and can’t live with small furries as being Lurchers they have a high prey drive. They would love to be at the heart of a family with children over the age of 12.

Amanda says:

“Despite their size they like to think they are lap dogs and climb on you for a cuddle which is adorable. They would like to join a family who love to get out and about as much as they do and as they have each other for company they don’t mind being left home alone for a few hours to have a snooze.

“George and Mildred are hoping they will find their special someone very soon, with room in their hearts and home for the both of them.”

If you think you could offer George and Mildred their perfect home please call the centre on 0300 303 0292 or visit them at Woodlands Farm, York Road, Leeds, LS15 4NL. You can also find out more at www.dogstrust.org.uk
