Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust (LCH) celebrated the achievements of the past year with its Annual General Meeting, Health Fair and awards ceremony hosted by Dr Dawn Harper of Embarrassing Bodies (Channel 4).
Over the past few months staff have been nominating colleagues and teams for the Achievement Awards and winners were presented their awards by Dr Harper during the ceremony at Elland Road.
The event welcomed patients, carers, members, and partners to the event to find about the healthcare services the trust deliver and how these have evolved over the past year. The formal AGM presentation was led by Interim Chief Executive, Bryan Machin with support from Interim Executive Director of Finance & Resources, Cherrine Hawkins. Guests were given the opportunity to directly put forward their questions and comments to the Board of Directors.
Bryan Machin, Interim Chief Executive, said: “In the time that I have been Interim Chief Executive of LCH I have visited many services, met with many members of staff, patients and their families. It has been a pleasure to witness all the great work that is going on across the services each day.
“The AGM, Health Fair and Achievement Awards have given us the opportunity to recognise and celebrate this work. I want to say a huge thank you to all our staff for the work they do each day.”
