Leeds Craft Gallery Delve into their Past asking Where are They Now?

Arts & CraftsLifestyle

The Craft Centre and Design Gallery in Leeds are calling on the support of their thousands of past visitors to help celebrate their 35 year anniversary this year.  Their campaign Where Are They Now is encouraging visitors to share their stories about the things they have purchased from the gallery over the years.
Simply send a picture to the gallery and share your story of that print you fell in love with all those years ago, those pair of earrings that your friends always admire of that pot that sits pride of place in your living room and the gallery will share via social media and on their blog too.
This campaign makes up one of four which explores the rich and vibrant past of this popular visitor attraction so keep a look out for #whatyousaidwednesdays where visitor’s comments will be shared from their visitor book, #throwbackthursdays when the gallery’s press archive is delved into and #flashbackfriday where they travel through their archive of past shows and exhibitions. There’s something for everyone to get involved in and engage with.
Jane Laverty Gallery Manager spoke of this remarkable 35 year anniversary; “These new campaigns hope to share many stories to show what a vibrant history the Craft Centre has enjoyed over 35 years and we hope visitors and makers enjoy seeing what we discover from our archives.”
Throughout the year the gallery will continue to showcase the very best of contemporary craft through an exciting exhibition programme which you can discover on their website’s What’s On page www.craftcentreleeds.co.uk
