Leeds Lit Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

The  Yorkshire Haven Breast cancer charity in Leeds are promoting breast cancer awareness month by  lighting Leeds up Pink throughout October, several business and iconic buildings have switched their lighting to pink to support  this national campaign. Nicola Burns the Yorkshire fundraiser at the Haven has been overwhelmed by the feedback she has received from buildings including The Queens Hotel, Bridgewater Place, Royal Armouries Museum, New Dock, O2 Academy,Leeds Arena, White Rose shopping Centre, Harvey Nichols, Trinity Shopping Centre, Trinity University, Khans Garage, St Johns shopping centre, JCT 600 Porsche,Scene bar park plaza hotel and Leeds Beckett University who have all  lit up pink.

leeds-arenaThe Haven are asking the general public to tweet images of buildings lit pink with #leedslitpink #BCAM @haven_yorkshire  to highlight Leeds fully supporting this national event. Anyone can get involved during the month of October  and pink up their buildings and businesses and lets get Leeds fully behind this amazing event. The Haven is the only breast cancer charity providing free, one to one, tailored care and support to anyone affected by breast cancer, they working tandem with the NHS by offering complementary healthcare which works alongside mainstream medical treatment.
