Antiques With Gary DonFeatures

Dear Gary,

I follow you in the Yorkshire Reporter and would be interested in your opinion on the following from a valuation point of view;

I have a Bone China Tea Service Crown Essex Richmond Rose.

Many Thanks, Trevor Thompson

Dear Trevor,

Thank you for your email.

This is a nice example of vintage style china tea set although not the most valuable.

I have seen a half set (6 of each) for sale on the internet for £30.

Hello Gary,

I have two prayer books in a beautiful soft leather case with handles, press fastening and purple lining. The books have gold edged pages and lettering in gold.  They are in excellent condition for their age.

They have been passed down the family for many years.

I would like to know more about them if you could help please?

Many thanks, Val Elson.

Dear Val,

Thank you for your email.

Griffith Farran Okeden and Welsh were well known publishers of religious and other books between 1884-1891. Your books appear to be good condition and have obviously been treasured over the years.

Although prayer books are difficult to sell in general, yours are at the top end. These are surely priceless to you and your family. Enjoy them and pass them on to the next generation.
