The Open Yorkshire Classic 2015 bodybuilding contest was once again a huge success. The annual event sees the biggest names on the amateur scene competing for the highly sought after trophies specially designed for the show. Taking place at Castleford Civic centre not far from junction 32 it is ideally located and attracts competitors from all over the country.
The high standard of entrants over the years has seen many of them go on to Universe, World and area title holders, some returning as guests giving their free time to act as judges.
The sell out show is attended by fans and enthusiasts of fitness and bodybuilding many believing it to be the best event of the year. With stalls offering expert advice on fitness and protein supplements at special discounted prices and the chance to see guest appearances from the best bodybuilding has to offer, the event is always popular.
Jason Mathews from Ultimate physiques in Castleford who organises the annual event along with Paul Jeffreys, said “We aim to give the Yorkshire bodybuilding scene a day to remember, the OYC is an event for the whole family there is something for everyone at our show. We provide fitness and bodybuilding fans with the chance to witness something special and strive to improve each year. ”
The title of the overall winner for 2015 went to Drew Walker, he said “Well it was a lifetime goal of mine to win an OVERALL bodybuilding show. Today I won the men’s u90kg, overall, Gary lister invitational and the best posing routine at the open Yorkshire classic. Thank you all for your amazing support it’s truly overwhelming! Time to grow!”
