Last month on our front page we covered the Radio Aire and Magic 828s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign that was launched on Monday 17th November. In partnership with Crown Point Shopping Park it is Cash for Kids’ most well-known campaign and is different in the fact that they ask that everyone buy one extra new and unwrapped present, for a child between the ages of 0-18 and then donate that gift.
After just two weeks of the campaign going live the Cash for Kids team received applications from organisations all across West Yorkshire. At the last count, the applications totalled 10,252 children, who are at risk of waking up to nothing on Christmas morning. The team confirmed that with still time to go until Christmas these numbers are predicted to increase over 16,000.
To help support this campaign whilst out shopping, take a minute to purchase that one extra gift to make a child smile this Christmas.
Including all of the stores at Crown Point Shopping Park, there are over 250 public drop-offs points across West Yorkshire which you can find on the Radio Aire or Magic 828 websites: www.radioaire.com/missionchristmas orwww.magic828.co.uk/missionchristmas . You can also drop –off gifts at the Radio Aire & Magic 828 Station on Burley Road – Monday to Friday from 9.00am until 5.30pm.
The last date to donate gifts at the public drop-off points is Monday 15th December and the last date to drop off gifts at Radio Aire and Magic 828 is Wednesday 17th December.
