Rothwell Leisure Centre will soon receive a raft of improvement works to the delight of local Councillors Karen Bruce and David Nagle (Labour, Rothwell).
[private]The proposed plans are part of a £500k scheme to improve ten leisure centres across the city. Rothwell Leisure Centre will benefit from the refurbishment of the male and female dry-side changing rooms, repairs to the floor at the free weights area and improvements to the reception and office areas.
The plans are subject to official approval and it is hoped the work will be approved this month.
Councillor Karen Bruce (Labour, Rothwell) said:
“This is fantastic news for Rothwell Leisure Centre which is a great asset for the local community. This will help us to provide an even better facility for residents as we ensure that our centres offer something for everyone. We hope the improvements will help more people to get active, keep fit and take up new hobbies at the Centre.”[/private]
