THERE IS STILL TIME TO HELP PUT A SMILE ON A CHILD’S FACE THIS CHRISTMAS!

CharityLocal News

Radio Aire’s charity Cash for Kids launched their annual Mission Christmas campaign on Monday 14th November. It is the Mission of Cash for Kids to ensure that no child living in Leeds and West Yorkshire go without a gift on Christmas Day – but they cannot fulfil their Mission without your help!
Listeners of Radio Aire and supporters of Cash for Kids are being asked to donate new and un-wrapped gifts for babies up to teenagers aged 18 years old. They have over 230 ‘Drop Off’ points across West Yorkshire, where gifts can be left to be collected by the Cash for Kids team.
Last year they supported over 22,000 children and envisage that will increase to around 23,000 children this Christmas. If you don’t have time to purchase that extra gift, but still want to get involved, you can Text ‘AIRE’ to 70808 to make a £5donation.
Lauren Scarth, Charity Executive said “We are overwhelmed with the generosity of the people of West Yorkshire. It’s fantastic to see people bringing bags full of gifts to help local children. However, we often find that the babies and the teenagers are forgotten as people automatically pick up a toy whilst shopping. We want to appeal to people and encourage them to buy for a baby or teenager. This can be simple things like baby grows or toiletry sets.”
The last day to donate gifts at a drop-off point is Friday 16th December or at Radio Aire and Crown Point Shopping Park until Monday 19th December.
