Supa Sofa in Leeds has been taking the hassle out of sofa buying for nearly two years now. Business partners David Moon and Paul Brown decided that the process of purchasing lounge furniture had grown far too complicated over the years, saying “Whatever happened to the days when buying a sofa in the UK was simple?
Remember when you picked a sofa, paid your money and your sofa was in your living room that night?” With 19 years’ experience in the business and all the right contacts, they felt that they were able to provide a service that could return to this simplicity.
They have certainly succeeded in “re-writing the sofa rulebook” with their promise of a “comfortable, affordable, stylish sofa with free delivery into your living room by teatime if you buy it that morning.”
There is no 16 week wait for your sofa here. Supa Sofa have six warehouses making furniture for them and all their furniture carries The BSI Kitemark™. They carry huge amounts of stock of 35 different suites in 20 – 30 different colours each.
This includes leather, bonded leather and fabric in 3+2, 3+1, sofa beds and corner combinations. Swivel chairs are also available at cost price if you purchase a sofa. If you prefer a bespoke sofa, such as a larger size for example, the turnaround is still only 10 days for it to be manufactured in the UK and delivered to your home.
Supa Sofa pride themselves on not selling a suite that costs over £1000 and do this by keeping their profit margins low. They feel that you should be able to get quality furniture at an affordable price. There are no hidden costs in this start to finish service, you choose your sofa, and there is nothing else to do.
David tells us “As a Leeds lad, I’m very proud of my heritage and the community that I grew up in. That’s why I’ve persisted with the values that were instilled in me as a child: work hard and offer value for money. Yes, my parents taught me that ‘you don’t get owt for nowt’, and to this day, I certainly believe this to be true. But they also taught me to remember that customers’ pay packets are hard-earned, so a good West Yorkshire businessman should offer a quality product that is affordable.”
When your suite is delivered into your living room, any assembly necessary is done for you and the packaging taken away. Your old suite is also taken away for you. Supa Sofa offer your old furniture to the British Heart Foundation and other charities, and what they do not want is recycled.
As well as offering sofas at fantastic value, they also import their own oak furniture and beds with the same competitive prices and superb service. A wholesale service is available too for landlords – they place their order and then Supa Sofa deliver and assemble everything making the property ready to go.
The competitive prices and second to none service that creates a stress free buying experience has meant that Supa Sofa are expanding rapidly. The nine knowledgeable employees at the Leeds store are joined by a team in Wakefield which opened recently. David and Paul hope to bring Supa Sofa to more areas in the future too to enable everyone to take advantage of their refreshing approach to furniture buying.
This is a local business with a true Yorkshire ethos behind it of offering a quality product that is affordable. Why not take a look for yourself?
