Swimtime to make a splash at new swimming pool in Garforth

Swimtime Yorkshire, a franchise of the largest independent provider of swimming lessons in the UK, is opening the doors to a brand new pool in its portfolio, for the people in the Garforth area. On Sunday 8th February, from 12.30pm, families and local clubs are invited to attend an activity-packed open day at the South Milford Hotel (Quality Hotel), just off the A63, Garforth.

Swimtime has gained exclusive use of the 14 metre pool at the hotel for teaching swimming in a deal that will see lessons provided every day of the week for children and adults of all abilities. Swimtime Yorkshire already manages lessons at six pools across Yorkshire, providing swimming lessons to around 1,000 people, but the addition of the pool at Garforth will allow the growing team of swimming instructors to meet rising demand in the local area.

Samantha McCabe, Franchise Owner for Swimtime Yorkshire comments: “The pool at the hotel is a hidden gem that is going to provide great value to the families and organisations of the local communities.

“Learning to swim is a valuable life skill that can be enjoyed from a very young age all the way through your life, and with so much pressure on local authorities to cut costs by closing swimming pools, we can’t afford to lose the ability for people of all ages to access pool facilities.

“Swimtime has a dedicated team of five highly qualified instructors at the pool who are all trained to provide swimming lessons to people of all ages, and we can’t wait to introduce them to the people of Garforth at our open day.”

The open day starts at 12.30pm and guests will be shown around the facilities by Swimtime’s swimming instructors, with pool demonstrations from some of Yorkshire’s most exciting swimming teams, including Leeds Octopush squad and Leeds Synchronised Swimmers.

Synchronised swimmer Zoe Cooper of Aquabatic (made famous by their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent) will be a special guest on the day, on hand to give advice on the benefits of swimming as an exercise and as an important life skill.

To confirm interest in attending, please call the Swimtime Yorkshire office on 01924 851 439 or email: yorkshire@swimtime.org
