CharityLocal News

More than £19,500 was raised at The Queens Hotel for The Haven Breast Cancer Charity, a charity helping to support women and men from all around Yorkshire that have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

This unique fashion show differs from your average fashion show, as all the inspirational models are breast cancer survivors and visitors to The Haven. The Blossom is a fantastic opportunity for these brave ladies to showcase how far they have come in their fight against breast cancer and with over 320 people attending to see these gorgeous models strut their stuff to rapturous applause.

The Charity Dreamgirls opened the event to 3 fantastic songs and had everyone on their feet dancing.

Liz Green from Radio Leeds compèred the fashion show where  clothes from Debenhams, Bo Carter Boutique, Swanky Pants, Jigsaw, Lavitta and Womenzone were showcased, in which all the models looked stunning.

The Haven offers a free programme of in-depth support to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by breast cancer. The money raised will help the charity provide free support, such as specialist nurses, nutrition experts and emotional advise and support to anyone affected by breast cancer.
