Treasure Of The Month

Diary Of A Pawnbroker

Each month we feature some of the unique and outstanding pieces of jewellery we have in our stores. Pre-owned jewellery offers so much ‘value for money’ and provides the discerning shopper with some unique and exquisite pieces that are rarely seen in jewellers these days.
This edition’s ‘Treasure of the Month’ is a unique and stunning Aquamarine and Diamond Cluster Ring.
This beautiful ring contains a rare and genuine 1.50ct Santa Maria Aquamarine set in 18ct white gold and surrounded by a 90 point halo of G/H VS1 brilliant cut diamonds.
This actual stone was one of the last aquamarines mined from the famous Santa Maria mine in Brazil which is now depleted and is one of the rarest and most exclusive varieties of aquamarine because of its incredible deep blue and green ‘marine’ colour. These days similar coloured aqua’s with a deeply saturated blue colour are now known as “Santa Marias.” They are named in honour of Santa Maria de Itabira, which is the mine in Brazil where the first such stones were discovered in the 1950s.
This stone is an important stone. It is not only rare, it is a genuine Santa Maria Aquamarine stone from that now depleted mine.
This unique ring is selling for only £3250.00 and would make the perfect Christmas present for any lucky lady.
