At the Wharfedale Male Voice’s Choir’s end of season concert their chairman Mr. Terry Williams made a presentation to the choir’s retiring Musical Director Mrs. Blanche Woollin.
Blanche enjoys a long and well respected reputation in the world of music throughout the Wharfedale area, and during the last four years has given sterling service to the choir but she and her husband Gerald are now planning to take a well-earned break, and amongst other things, will be taking to the high seas on a series of cruises around the world.
Joining the chairman and the choir is Mr. Paul Hurst, with an equally strong background and track record, who was appointed as the new Musical Director at the start of 2017.
Choir members took this occasion to see Blanche off in grand style and at the same time offer a warm welcome to Paul in his new role in support of their choir that has been entertaining community groups in Wharfedale for over 30 years.
The choir is expanding and there is now a small number of vacancies for both Tenors and Basses.
