The main attraction, a tour around the distillery, a renovated 1850s Victorian Model Farm, gives visitors a unique insight into craft distilling with a children’s quiz to help younger visitors learn about the science of distilling.
The tour begins with a dramatic cinematic production of where the water used in the production of the spirits comes from followed by information on The Lake District’s secret history of distilling. An expert guide then invites guests to watch the stillmen at work, as they see how the spirits are produced and distilled in unique traditional artisan copper pot stills. The tour ends in the beautiful tasting room where visitors can taste the spirits they’ve learnt about that day.
Picturesque walking routes are easily found around the distillery and the distillery shop has a range of luxury items which can be purchased alongside your favourite bottle or cuddly toy alpaca.
