WiSE Gardening Scheme Gets New Equipment Boost From Local Masonic Lodge

A generous donation of £500 pounds  for the WiSE (Wetherby in Support of the Elderly) gardening scheme was presented by members of the Lascelles Masonic Lodge in Wetherby.
Worshipful Master, Alan Robinson and his fellow lodge member Roger Barnes joined WiSE Operations Manager Mark Dobson and Andy Hunter from Wetherby Young Offenders Institution Parks & Gardens Department to see the new equipment the money has purchased.
Wetherby YOI work in partnership with WiSE to provide a gardening scheme for older residents in a project funded by Children in Need.
Mr Robinson said “The lodge is delighted to support WiSE & Wetherby YOI in this great scheme that supports many older local residents with their gardening needs”.
Mark Dobson, WiSE Manager added, “We here at WiSE are hugely grateful for our friends at the lodge making this donation to support us in our work to enhance & support the lives of our local older residents. Such donations are essential to our activities”.
Andy Hunter, Wetherby YOI said, “Having new, quality equipment is a real boost to us in our work keeping on top of local gardens. We are grateful to the lodge. The young men who undertake the work get a great deal out of this project”.
