The UK’s muckiest pup has officially been crowned! Online pet-portrait brand, Purr & Mutt, has been on the hunt for the UK’s most lovable, cheekiest and messiest pet in its nation-wide competition – and the results are in.
Meet the winner, Chester, who has a penchant for jumping in muddy puddles and soaking his owners in any nearby water.
After discovering that pet ownership increased by 18% over the course of the last year, the team at Purr & Mutt decided to connect with pet parents across the country by launching a competition to find the nation’s messiest pet.
Almost taking the crown were runner-ups, Sprocket from Bexhill-on-Sea who also loves mud, and Buffy & Willow from Cardiff, who are a gardener’s delight!
But taking the official title of the Nation’s Messiest Pet, is 8-month-old Chester, from Lydney in Gloucestershire. To reward Chester (and his owners) of his naughtiness, Purr & Mutt have gifted him a free personalised pet portrait from their unique collection.
Commenting on the win, Chester’s owner, Evette Williams, said: “It was such a joy to find out that Chester won Purr & Mutt’s Messy Pets competition! He certainly is a cheeky thing and I’m sure he’ll be jumping in some muddy puddles to celebrate. I can’t wait to see our personalised pet portrait!”
