Alzheimer’s Society’s
Forget Me Not Appeal

Charity

Alzheimer’s Society invites everyone in Yorkshire and Humber to come together and support its Forget Me Not Appeal in May to remember and honour people they know who are living with dementia or who had dementia.

By wearing your Forget Me Not badge and supporting the appeal, you can show people living with dementia in Yorkshire and Humber that they have not been forgotten, that you understand and stand with them. The badge is a symbol of solidarity and shows that supporters, through their donations, are helping to provide life-changing dementia support.

It’s never been more important to unite against dementia. There are currently more than 76,000 people estimated to be living with dementia in Yorkshire and Humber, with someone developing it every three minutes. The number of those affected by dementia nationally, currently 900,000, is set to rise to over one million by 2025, with many millions more carers, partners, families, and friends affected.

Alzheimer’s Society is a vital source of support and a powerful force for change for everyone affected by dementia in the region. Too many are facing some of the hardest and most frightening times alone, without adequate support. It is only with the generous help of supporters that Alzheimer’s Society can carry out its urgent work providing expert support to those who need it most.

Alzheimer’s Society is asking people in Yorkshire and Humber to join the Forget Me Not Appeal in honour of loved one by donating, getting a badge and showing their support.
