YORK COMMUNITY CAROL CONCERT, SUN 11 DEC
Get your Christmas off to a cracking start with this ever-popular festive event. After 64 successful years this long-running community carol concert appeals to all ages and still plays to full houses. Appearing on stage this year:

Proceeds from the concert will be shared by the Lord Mayor and Sheriff of York’s Christmas Cheer Fund along with Martin House Children’s Hospice (The Press nominated charity).
THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL: LIVE IN CONCERT, MON 12 DEC
Disney’s The Muppet Christmas Carol will be presented live in concert this winter across the UK, featuring its musical score performed live to the film. This is the second time the classic film will be presented to audiences across the UK following its premiere last year, with Broadway World calling the show ‘… the ultimate festive escapism.’
RICK WAKEMAN, TUE 13 DEC
Rick Wakeman CBE’s Christmas shows have become a regular must-see feature of the festive season. Performing on a grand piano and electric keyboards, he always manages to bring a new Yuletide twist to his unique musical arrangements for songs from his own career and others, as well as delivering a few surprises, all punctuated by his hilarious stories. Christmas 2022 will be no different – a not-to-be-missed celebration!

Emma will be performing songs from her own back catalogue as well as some classic Spice Girls tracks and all your favourite festive hits. Emma will also be bringing along some very special guests, soon to be announced. To date Emma has sold over 85 million records as a member of the all-conquering Spice Girls, the most successful female pop group of all time. Following the incredible Spice Girls reunion tour in 2019, Emma returned to music as a solo artist with album My Happy Place, her first new music in 13 years.

Hailed as ‘The Start of Christmas’ for many, a Kate Rusby Christmas Concert perpetuates the tradition of Yorkshire carols, specific carols still sung in the pubs of South Yorkshire.
Her happiness, humour and storytelling are a feature of Kate’s live shows branding herself as a ‘Holly Head’ – someone who loves Christmas. Joining her on stage for this unmissable evening of Christmas cheer will be, as ever, her hugely talented and intuitive band of musicians as well as a top-flight brass quintet affectionately known as The Brass Boys.
