‘Get Your Skates On’ To The Christmas Adventure At Stockeld Park

Local News

Gaynor Faye, Emmerdale actress and Dancing On Ice winner, visited Stockeld Park to open the newly extended Ice Rink at the start of the winter season. You too can ‘get your skates on’ and enjoy a fun filled family day out at the award winning visitor attraction from Saturday 7 November until Monday 4 January.
There are a number of special event themed weekends in the run up to the big day. This year the Christmas Adventure gets off to a skating start with a weekend celebrating all things ‘Frozen’. The countdown continues with the return of a few favourites; The Friday Night Disco on Ice, Santa’s Arrival and Sleigh Parade, Weekend Breakfast with Santa, The Magnificent Three Kings and Camel Parade and the sponsored charity event Santa on the Run.
Stockeld Park is celebrated for its exciting adventure zones. Glide across the real ice rink which has been extended for this year’s Christmas Adventure – perfect for practising pirouettes. The interactive playgrounds in the Enchanted Forest provide the perfect backdrop for imaginative play during the day but as dusk falls visitors re-trace their steps to wonder at the beautifully illuminated ancient woodland. Or the energetic can try the Nordic Ski trail through the woods instead of taking the path. Don’t forget to get lost inside the Giant Snow Flake shaped Yew Maze – where the race to the centre is as fun as finding the exit.
If you have little ones head for the award winning Grotto to see the elves and share your wish list with Santa or book to breakfast with Santa on the weekends of Sat 28th Nov – Sun 6th Dec
Please check the website for special event listings www.stockeldpark.co.uk. The Christmas Adventure is open daily from 1030 – 2030, please check the website for exceptions and for special offers.
