Our team are greatly saddened that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has died. 

Her Majesty’s devotion to serving the people of the UK, and the Commonwealth for 70 years is more than admirable and she will be remembered in history for all that she gave. 

We were not lucky enough to meet her but her constant presence was felt by all and we will miss her. 

We offer our deepest sympathies to all her family at this sad time.

Unity CEO Expresses Sympathies Following Death Of Her Majesty The Queen

Cedric Boston, the chief executive of Unity Homes and Enterprise, has spoken of his sorrow following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Mr Boston, who has led the Leeds-based housing association since 2020, said:

“The Queen dedicated her life to the service of people, both in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

“She witnessed considerable societal changes over more than seven decades on the Throne but moved with the times and was held in the warmest respect by people from all communities and ethnic backgrounds.

“We are living through a particularly challenging period but Her Majesty’s presence as our nation’s figurehead was reassuring for so many and her loss will be sincerely felt.

“On behalf of Unity, I extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to the Royal Family.”

West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin’s Statement On Her Majesty The Queen

Tracy Brabin, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, said:

 “On behalf of the people of West Yorkshire, I would like to pay our respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family. 

“The sad loss of our longest-serving monarch will be felt right around the world, by people from all backgrounds and walks of life. As we come together to mourn, we should keep in our hearts the values that she embodied throughout her life – of courage, empathy, and compassion. 

“She gracefully led our country, and the Commonwealth, through all manner of challenges throughout her 70 years with dignity and dedication, the likes of which we may never see again.” 

Statement: Death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The following statement has been issued by Barrington Billings and Lee Bloomfield, Chair and Chief Executive of Manningham Housing Association:

“It was with deep sorrow that we learnt of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

“Her Majesty’s record of service to the nation will never be surpassed and her passing will come as a great shock to everyone in the Manningham Housing Association community.

“She visited Bradford district several times during her long reign, occasions that will be forever remembered by all who had the privilege to see her.

“We offer our sincere sympathies to the Royal Family at this most difficult of moments.”

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was more than a monarch.  She defined an era.

    In a world of constant change, she was a steadying presence and a source of comfort and pride for generations of Britons, including many who have never known their country without her.  Queen Elizabeth II led always with grace, an unwavering commitment to duty, and the incomparable power of her example.  She was a stateswoman of unmatched dignity and constancy who deepened the bedrock Alliance between the United Kingdom and the United States.  She helped make our relationship special.  The seven decades of her history-making reign bore witness to an age of unprecedented human advancement and the forward march of human dignity.  Her legacy will loom large in the pages of British history, and in the story of our world. 

   As a mark of respect for the memory of Queen Elizabeth II, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, on the day of interment.  I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

     IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-two, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-seventh.
