Lotherton’s Christmas Experience

EntertainmentWhat's On

Lotherton lights up for The Christmas Experience on 22 November and there are already limited tickets available to visit Santa in his magical North Pole at weekends.

Leader of Leeds City Council, Cllr Judith Blake, said: “The much anticipated event is already proving popular with families across the region and we’d encourage anyone hoping to secure a date with Santa to get their skates on to avoid disappointment.”

New this year, Lotherton will take to the ice with an open air rink suitable for skaters of all ages. Whether you skate like a pro or take to it like Bambi, with Lotherton Hall as a backdrop, it’s guaranteed to be a day to remember.

Stroll through the 12 Days of Christmas woodland trail to discover the Fairy Dell and visit the Elf Village for stories, shopping and sweet treats.

Cllr Blake added: “The Christmas Experience at Lotherton really is an event for the whole family. As well as the festive fun that fills the air throughout November and December, we also take a trip back in time to an Edwardian Christmas where children can dress up, see the hall decked with boughs of holly and find out more about Christmas past.

“At the end of a busy day, we encourage visitors to visit the Christmas courtyard to enjoy a mug of mulled wine, a hot chocolate or a slice of cake where they can also pick up a few stocking fillers and souvenirs of a Christmas well-spent.”

While Santa’s weekend diary is almost fully booked, there is still good availability on weekdays and evenings.

The Christmas Experience opens on 22 November 2019 and is run by Lotherton and Breeze. Tickets are available now, with a number of visit options, early booking is recommended.
