St George’s Crypt Given The Royal Seal Of Approval Through The National Duke Of York Community Initiative Awards

Four members of staff and one volunteer made the trip to the University of Huddersfield to meet with HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York and receive the prestigious award.St George’s Crypt has been supporting the homeless and vulnerable of Leeds for the past 85 years, moving from providing accommodation and food to a more encompassing service with training, clinical service provision and therapeutic workshops.
Chris Fields, CEO of St George’s Crypt, who attended the event said ‘It was brilliant to receive this award from the Duke of York, highlighting the work we do with the Leeds community to provide our service. Without the support of the community, our volunteers and local businesses we would not be able to offer the award-winning service we provide.’
