The Fox public house, Main Street, Thorner, recently taken over by Star Pubs & Bars
(part of Heineken group) has a history of charity fund raising events.
This year on the 13th July to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, Richard and Tracy the landlords, are bringing a bigger event as they reach out to the market of beer festivals.
Star Pubs & Bars are providing an outside specialist made beer tent, which can accommodate 14 beer pumps, plus the 4 regular rotational beers.
A large stage will be the focal point , with various singers and bands donating their time for free. The event will be family friendly with a bouncy castle to amuse the younger ones. An auction to boost funds will take place which includes 2 VIP guest tickets to Leeds festival. Along with food available to be purchased, the day is something all the family can enjoy and also help make a difference to Macmillan Cancer Support. All funds raised at the event for the Macmillan Cancer Support will help them continue to provide services to many people affected by cancer offering them physical, emotional and financial support.
The Fox Music And Beer Festival is from 12 noon until 8pm outside and for those who can stand the pace until closing time there will be more music inside.
