Naturaw is a family-run raw dog food company based in Wetherby that is committed to feeding our dogs the best food but doing so sustainability.
You may be wondering why a pet food business has won an award in the ‘Food’ category, not the ‘Pet Food’ category. However, that’s what’s made this award even more rewarding. Naturaw’s products being recognised in as an entirely different subset from other pet food products represents the quality of Naturaw’s dog food.
“Whilst this isn’t the first award we’ve won, this one is of huge significance. Thinking of what we feed our beloved dogs as real, proper food, made from real ingredients is the key driving force behind what we do and why we do it. We’re also Yorkshire through and through!” – Tom Johnson, Co-Founder
Naturaw believes in feeding our dogs real, proper food, no grains or cheap fillers. Dogs don’t only deserve to eat real food made with real ingredients, but they are biologically accustomed to eating a diet high in fresh meat.
“As humans, we are all paying more attention to what we eat these days. Unless you’re an astronaut, eating a varied diet of food that’s fresh, not highly processed and artificially preserved is preferable – but for some reason, the same mindset is traditionally lacking when it comes to what we feed the 4 legged members of the family. We’re passionate about changing that.”
Dry foods often lack the nutrients our dogs need as they use poor-quality or low amounts of meat. Natural nutrients are also lost during the cooking process and then synthetically added back into dry foods. Fresh raw food contains natural vitamins and minerals which can leave your dog with more energy, shinier coats and healthier skin.
