New Players, Volunteers & Sponsors Wanted For A Headingley Cricket Club!

St Chad’s Broomfield are the oldest and the biggest amateur cricket club in Headingley with over 130 years of history and 15 senior and junior teams playing both at the weekend and midweek.
They are looking for new players of all standards and ages for the following teams:
1) 4 Saturday league teams, 3 of which are in the top 3 divisions of their league and also defending the league championship and 2 cup competitions won in 2014 and 2015
2) A new ladies team playing in their first season
3) A midweek evening league team who were champions in 2014 and 2015
4) 2 midweek evening social teams playing 20 over cricket
5) Junior teams at various age groups starting from 5 years old
…..and if you want to play all year round you can play for one of their indoor league teams in the winter! No other cricket club in the area can provide cricket for such a wide variety of standards and ages, all year round.
Not only do they have consistent on field success (19 trophies in the last 8 seasons) but they also have a social scene that is second to none. What more would you want from a cricket club? What about a visit to their nets by England and Yorkshire players Gary Ballance and Jonny Bairstow or them hosting the first outdoor game of the year in January! Yes, really!
As well as new players they are also looking for volunteers and sponsors.
