The Nidderdale Charity Walk and Run is on Sunday 14th May and registration is now open. There is a choice of different routes of varying lengths, so there’s something for everyone. You can also choose whether you want to walk or run.
The Rotary Club of Harrogate organise this event each year to raise money for local charities. One of the charities you can support at this event is Open Country who would be most grateful if you are able to use this opportunity to raise funds for them, whilst having a great day out in the fresh air.
Open Country is a registered charity which supports the local disabled community to access the countryside by offering a wide range of different outdoor activities. It can be difficult for people living with disabilities to safely get out and about, but with their fully accessible minibuses and team of trained staff and volunteers they make sure that the outdoors can be enjoyed by everyone.
