Seacroft Remembers The Men Who Went To War In 1914-18

Local News

On November 21st 2015, Seacroft Community Literature and Arts Society donated a commemorative plaque for Seacroft men who lost their lives at war in 1914-18. The brass plaque was presented to ChapelFM after poignant readings, music and photographs showing where some of the local men died in Belgium.
The plaque is a reproduction of the original cast version which was removed to another safe home from its original site during the wonderful renovation that created ChapelFM.
Professor Alison Fell of Leeds University supported the Seacroft project which led to publication of the Seacroft 1914-18 book and the commissioning of this plaque. The Seacroft Community Literature and Arts Society would like to extend their gratitude to Professor Fell and her department for all their help.
