Farsley Live at Home Scheme which was established in September 2004 by its parent charity Methodist Homes for the Aged [MHA] warmly invited the Lord Mayor of Leeds and Lady Mayoress [Councillor David Congreve and Janet Harper JP] to join them in their celebrations at Pudsey Civic Hall to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Scheme and the launch of their new minibus.
The purchase of the minibus was only made possible through the hard work and dedication of its members, volunteers, staff and local businesses and community groups who over the past 4 years worked tirelessly to raise an astonishing £48,000.
Through the achievements of the dedicated team Farsley Live at Home Scheme can continue to build on their aims to reduce social isolation for older people within Farsley, Rodley, Carverley and Tyersal.
If you would like to find out more about the scheme as a member or volunteer please contact them via phone on 0113 2909340 or email: kate.smithson@mhn.org.uk. They would love to hear from you.
