Wakefield Festival Long Division Taking Place For The Final Time!

Award-winning Wakefield festival LONG DIVISION has announced it will be taking place for the final time this summer, with a soon to be announced host of artists lined up to send the long-running West Yorkshire institution out in style. Like so many other events, the last few years have put increasing strain on Long Division despite successful post-lockdown returns in 2021 & 2022. Although it was a tough decision, the Long Division board have decided to go out on their own terms and, alongside a new team thanks to support from YouthMusic, are planning to take Long Division back to its roots for a massive celebration this summer.

Long Division are operating a flexible ticket system this year with general sale available at £40. Reduced £30 tickets are available for those unable to cover the whole cost with no proof required and a third tier priced at £50 is available to help the festival cover the cost of reduced ticket sales. Tickets for under-18’s are again priced at £1. Dean Freeman, Founder of the festival told us “We’re going to end on a massive high. We’re doubling our efforts to sign off in style. We’re calling in favours, we’re doing all those things we never got around to. It’ll be the culmination of 12 years of madness in Wakefield and it’ll be joyous. Let’s all hang out together, one last time.” Long Division Festival takes place across multiple venues in Wakefield on Saturday 10 June 2023.
