Great Selection Of Gigs Coming To Leeds!

2022 marks the release of Merseyside Alt rockers THE MYSTERINES debut album ‘Reeling’, due March 11th 2022 via Fiction Records. Barely out of their teens, they completely sold out both their 2020 and 2021 headline tours, as well as headlining the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds. Find out what all the fuss is about them at The Brudenell on March 25th.

SUNFLOWER BEAN – vocalist and bassist Julia Cumming, guitarist and vocalist Nick Kivlen, and drummer Olive Faber  – announce that their long-awaited third album Headful of Sugar will be released on 6 May via Lucky Number.  The announcement arrives as the trio size-up a UK tour in anticipation of the new album’s release. Sunflower Bean are at Brudenell Social Club on 31st March. Fuelled by the agony and ecstasy of contemporary American life, Headful of Sugar is a psychedelic head-rush designed to be played loud, windows down. It is about outsiders disillusioned with the modern world who, despite their alienation, refuse to be subdued; buoyed by the relief found in interpersonal relationships that counteract the daily barrage of cheap entertainment and convenience. “

Standing as a moment of tranquillity and reflection amidst the playful folk/punk ruckus of their latest album, ‘Bonny’s Eyes’ sees SKINNY LISTER tuning into their traditional roots to summon one of their most humbling, harmonious ditties to date. Blending lullaby-like vocals with twinkling acoustics, the Skinnies are also joined by friend and respected folkie Roger Wilson, who lays down the track’s flourishing fiddle sections.  SKINNY LISTER will be stepping up to some major stages in support of pop/punk heroes LESS THAN JAKE on their Spring UK Tour.  The dates follow a string of sold out UK headline shows for the Skinnies over the Winter in support of their newest album ‘A Matter of Life & Love’. Catch them at the O2 Academy on April 2nd
