The latest Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Evening has once again proved to be big hit, with a record attendance of over 1,700 people attending the event at Leeds Town Hall.
A host of exhibitors including CILEX Law School, Keepmoat, Leeds Marriot Hotel, Leeds Grand Theatre, Lloyds Bank and Mears were present on the night, which offered those in attendance with the opportunity to apply for hundreds of live apprenticeships.
Councillor Mohammed Rafique, Leeds City Council’s executive member for employment, enterprise and opportunity said:
“We are working extremely hard with partners to improve and widen the apprenticeship opportunities that are available in Leeds, and it was fantastic to see so many people and employers in attendance at our town hall recruitment evening.
“This is just one of a number of recruitment events that we hold in the city throughout the year, and I am looking forward to hopefully seeing many people who were at the town hall going on to secure an apprenticeship.”
